The Crave for Decadence.

 

A short piece I wrote on the spur of the moment. The duality of humanity is never stronger than when we seek to be bad, without appearing so.

Alcohol-filled nights
A decadent lifestyle
A secret wish

It's only human nature
To want to be good
But wish for the bad

For good is easy
But bad is eternal
The popularity we crave

To seek a name
For ourselves
And to satisfy

The endless ego.

Six Months

 

This is my latest poem. I wrote it back in November 2010. Initially meant to be a poem of hope, it all went to hell when the girl I fancied said no.

First month, second month,
A moment of unfamiliarity, excitement and fun,
Unfamiliarity for the strangers that we were,
Excitement because we didn't know what lay ahead,
Fun with all the kissing, the affection, and attention.

Let's stop fighting
Erase the past and move on
Think of nothing but the future
Stopping only when we reach our dream
